Three classes of seventh grade students have graduated. There is no local school for them to attend so many are at home. Some of the graduates were fortunate to get into a secondary school as far away as Dar es Salaam. Our students are too young to be sent away from their home community to continue their education. Those who stay in their community will not have a bright future.
So, construction began in 2012 on a secondary school campus at another location near the current Twing Memorial Elementary School. Four classrooms have been built, a library, headmasters office, bathroom facilities, a math/science laboratory, and housing for staff. School is scheduled to open in January 2016. We must fund building of two triplex housing units for staff, and must provide good drinking water. These projects are expected to cost $53,000.
