Ethel met James Arthur Twing at Atlantic Union College. Three months after they met, they were married, leading Ethel on a journey that would change the course of her life forever.
His dream, and hers, too, was to serve the Seventh-day Adventist Church as missionaries. It didn’t matter where. They thought it would take them to Mexico . . . but when their dream came true, it was to Africa instead! Grandma planned to serve with her husband in Africa for many years. That was not to be, however.
